When does the Fall season begin?
The Fall season games begin September 6, 2014.
When is registration for the Fall season?
Open registration for the Fall season runs from May 1 thru June 30. All players must complete the online registration at the eAYSO.org website.
What if we missed the open registration period?
All players submitting their registration and fee by the June 30 registration deadline will be placed on a team. Players submitting their application after June 30 will be placed on a wait-list with no guarantee of being placed on a team. To be added to the wait list please send the following information to the Region Administrator by email: firstname.lastname@example.org
- Players first and last name
- Players birth date
- Prior AYSO experience (when and where did the player last participate in AYSO soccer)
What if I forgot my password for eAYSO?
If you forgot your password for eAYSO please send an email to email@example.com along with the player’s full name.
Do I need to complete the electronic signature in eAYSO?
Yes. We only accept applications with the electronic signature completed. If you have not completed the e-sign, please log back into eAYSO and select “Update Player Information” and then edit the player’s application and re-submit.
How often are practices and games?
Practices are held once or twice a week (field and times to be determined by your child’s coach). Depending on the age-group, games may be on Saturdays or Sundays or occasional during the week – with the first games on Sep 6. Games and practices will be held at Campus El Segundo, George Brett Field (Rec Park) or Richmond Street Field. Click here for a map to the fields.
What else does my child need?
Shin guards! The registration fee includes: complete uniform (jersey, shorts, socks) supplemental accident insurance, and a team and individual picture. In addition, each player must wear shin guards at all practices and games. We recommend soccer shoes, a soccer ball (size depends on age) and a water bottle.
How can I request a refund?
Players withdrawing prior to Aug 15 will be issued a full refund. Between Aug 16 and Sep 15, a partial refund may be provided. No refunds after Sep 15. When do the players get called?
Your coach will most likely call or email the players in mid to late August and provide you with information on the first team meeting. Each coach sets his or her own practice days, time and location, within AYSO guidelines. It is important that you provide a current email and phone number on your online registration form so the coach can contact you. You can update your contact information on eayso.org. You should be getting periodic emails from the Region throughout the summer. Also some coaches may be out of town. Can I coach with my friend or neighbor?
AYSO policy specifies that the only team member(s) that a head coach may specify to be on his or her team is his or her own child or children. You are welcome to make requests and let us know your preferences, however, our team formation policy helps to ensure we have balanced and impartial teams for a fun and fair soccer environment. You might also meet new friends for life!
Can I request to put my child with another player or coach?
We get many requests to place certain players with their friends, which makes it very difficult to form teams in accordance with our Balanced Team Guidelines. You are welcome to let us know your preferences, however, we cannot guarantee your requests will be fulfilled.
Can my child play in a different age-group division?
Players are placed on teams within their age-appropriate division based on their age as of July 31. In rare circumstances we allow players to move up in to a higher age group. Especially for U14 players that are entering high school where we help comply with CIF rules. AYSO has a strict policy that precludes players from playing in a division that is below their age-group.
How does my team get its Sportsmanship Award?
Did your U10/U12/U14 team maintain perfect sportsmanship throughout the regular season AND playoffs? If so, your team is eligible for up to $50 reimbursement for team party expenses (excluding alcohol). If your team has perfect sportsmanship you can submit the receipts and reimbursement request form to the Region Treasurer [email@example.com] no later than Dec 31. Please allow 30-days to process. U6/U7/U8 teams all received sportsmanship trophies, so the $50 award is not applicable in these Divisions. The reimbursement form is available from the “DOWNLOADS” page – see the menu on the oft side of the homepage. You can check your team’s sportsmanship points from the regular season at the Fall Season Standings page. A perfect score of 25.00 is required. Check with your Commissioners for points during the playoffs.
